For this role, we are looking for a candidate with strong and recent hands-on expertise in SQL Server, including advanced T-SQL development, query and database performance tuning, indexing strategies, troubleshooting of production issues, database design, and day-to-day ownership of SQL Server-based solutions. 

The role typically covers:

- Advanced T-SQL development and query optimization (physical joins, indexes, locks)

- SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting

- Data modelling and database design

- Collaboration with business and technical stakeholders
